RCI 0162 3/4" Rim Strike
The 0162 electric strike accommodates ½” to ¾” latch projection and is designed for use with Pullman latch rim exit devices. As a completely surface mounted strike the RCI 0162 requires no cutting of the door frame. The rugged stainless-steel strike accommodates hollow metal, aluminum and wood door frames. This angle drops the closer by 3/4", lowering the closer just enough to clear the top of the closer knuckle if you have a soffit over the top of your frame. Reusing the previous bottom hole loctions on the header.

1" x 1" x 1/8" thick aluminum angle bracket pre-machined for standard closers that measure 9-1/16" CTC wide x 3/4" CTC tall.

Comes with two 12-24 x 1/2" screws to mount the angle to the underside of the header.

The surface mounted, windstorm rated solution

The 9600 Series is a windstorm rated, surface mounted electric strike designed to accommodate rim exit devices with a 3/4" throw latchbolt.
All components are completely encased within its 3/4" thick stainless steel housing, so no cutting on the frame is required for installation.
Simply place the electric strike on the surface of the frame, align it with the exit latch bolt and install.
Field selectable for fail secure and fail safe operation, and for 12 or 24VDC.

The 9600 is the only surface mounted electric strike designed with the strength and durability required to exceed the severe forces of ANSI Windstorm testing.
