Exit Devices / Panic Bars

Panic Hardware, also known as exit devices, panic bars, crash bars, touch bars, or push bars, is designed to provide fast, safe, and easy egress during emergency situations. Exit devices allow doors to unlock quickly for occupants exiting a building while maintaining security during normal operation.

Panic hardware is required by building and fire safety codes in many public and commercial buildings. Doors that are not equipped with code-compliant exit devices may fail inspection under current Life Safety Code requirements.

Due to its durability, reliability, and ease of operation, panic hardware is also commonly installed in applications where code does not specifically require it.
